No shit the ones that didn’t cancel. I’m on one right now. Only reason wasn’t 100% full is because with the 2 3/4 hr delay some people who wouldn’t have made connections got off as they would have been stuck in DFW overnight.

Tailgate lots are a shitshow. Sleet and 20 mph winds are not great. Ice hitting the ground melting to form 1” deep puddles.

Finally, the day has arrived where the NDSU Bison get the opportunity to prove once again that they are the best in the land of FCS football.

I got the opportunity to watch most of JMU's game and all of NDSU's games. Both are very talented teams. However, only one faced quality competition most of the season. Say all you want about the CAA, but it lacks the quality and physicality that the MVFC has. Granted, there are a few not-so-good teams in the MFVC, but the conference is loaded with talent compared to the CAA. This is where JMU is going to run into major issues today against NDSU, their CAA competition didn't prepare them to deal with a team that is loaded, both offense and defense, with talent. The same can be said with the three teams they faced in the playoffs. Monmouth didn't have much for defense, but had a really good RB on offense (his speed was an issue for them). UNI fared well against JMU, but without an offense, they were in trouble to begin with. Weber State is team with a pretty decent defense, but has an offense that struggled a lot this season. Not one of these teams is comparable to NDSU.

I see this going NDSU's way with the Bison defeating the Dukes 31-16 to close out this chapter known as 2019 Bison Football in a book full of program success.

I just want a good football game that's competitive until the end. In that regard I am disappointed in the mistakes JMU has been making that have made it more likely that the game will get out of hand. Not out of hand yet but getting close.

I don't know if JMU has more physical talent; especially on the line of scrimmage. NDSU looks stronger and more physical up front to me. Also I think NDSU has the talent edge at QB. JMU's QB is talented and good. But I think NDSU's QB has a bit more physical talent. More athletic, stronger arm, etc. Makes good decisions too.

The biggest surprise to me so far is how easily North Dakota State has moved the ball against the JMU defense. I did go in thinking JMU is very talented on defense. But when North Dakota State wants to the Bison can just line up in a power formation and push JMU around. Did not expect to see that.

Of course that's not the only way they are moving the ball. But NDSU's offensive line has definitely been getting push so that the JMU front is generally skating backwards. Definite physical edge for NDSU's offensive line vs. JMU's defensive front so far. And the reverse is not true. Even when JMU was running well early it was a matter of JMU backs making good cuts and hitting gaps. NDSU defenders were getting penetration but not making the tackles. And since the first JMU drive they've really improved stopping the run.
