INDS @ UNI*
GAM: UNI -5; O/U 41; Mythical score UNI 23-18 INDS has the #1 pass defense in the MVFC. UNIs rushing game isn't that strong.

UND @ Weber State*
GAM: WSU -4; O/U 48; Mythical score WSU 26-22 Weber is a better team on offense on defense they look about the same

5 Dimes: WSU -16.5; O/U 51.5

If the MVFC teams were to face each other with today's statistics the GAM is telling us we could expect the conference to finish like this for Week 11/9.

Today, the top 3 are solid playoff teams. NDSU and SDSU are neck and neck and both are in an elite category in the MVFC with Power Ratings of .50 for NDSU and .55 SDSU.

The battle between SIU and ILS for the next spot will be interesting. Certainly if things stay as they are the MVFC gets 4 if only because SDSU and NDSU play in it. I think SIU is the better team today with the inside tracks for the 4th spot.

GAM: UNI -5; O/U 41; Mythical score UNI 23-18 INDS has the #1 pass defense in the MVFC. UNIs rushing game isn't that strong.

On Any Given Saturday INDS expects a 16-21 game or 37. The GAM actually shows 16.8 - 21.46 or 38.26

On Any Given Saturday UNI expects a 24-23 game or 47.

INDS is playing on a long field on both sides of the ball:

• Offense 136 yds (Terribly long. The Gold Standard NDSU offense plays on an 82 yard field)
  Defense 110 yds (not too bad. The Gold Standard NDSU defense plays on a 163 yd field)

For UNI:

• Offense 93 yds
  Defense 107 yds

The GAM never rounds up or down. If there is a clear winner every thing to the right of the decimal is dropped. The game is decided based on subjective analysis of the teams statistical data.

If its a tie the numbers to the right of the decimal are used. Because there are no fractional points in football this game is even and now dependent on what is commonly called the intangibles:

• Home field
  coaching
  tradition
  weather conditions
  turn overs
  off-field distractions
  etc

The further right you are forced to move the more unreliable the analysis becomes. Who can predict intangibles?

Late in the season teams have experienced their fair share of the intangibles including home field and bad game breaks. They are cooked into the data and adjustments for them are diminished. This includes the Fabulous Fargo Dome, but only for certain teams that have preformed well there SDSU and UNI included. All others may be facing a 5 point hit for playing in Fargo.

At 5 Dimes this morning

UND to win outright 100 gets you 525. Promising but we are passing.
