Shakeups Galore...

Some interesting losses in the Top 25 this week. Based on the STATS Poll (largely because that has been giving the best results for my Hornets, hee hee), here's my predictions, again as homeristic as can be....

1. NDSU
2. JMU
3. BBQ
4. SD State
5. Sac State
6. Kennesaw State
7. Villanova
8. IL State
9. Montana
10. UNI
11. UCA
12. Princeton
13. Furman
14. MSU
15. Dartmouth
16. NC A&T
17. FL A&M
18. Wofford
19. Central CT State
20. Stony Brook
21. SEMO
22. Yale
23. Bethune-Cookman
24. Austin Peay
25. E. Kentucky

I'd like to drop the Kitties farther, but SOS is an issue with some of those coming farther down. I did bring in some others (how can one ignore Stony Brook after their defeat of a Top Ten?), but others have record issues. I think some of you have said that this is a crazy season, and it seems that you're right. FTR, I thought that for FCS SOS purposes, I didn't think a loss to the #1 team in the country warranted a drop of more than one for SD State, despite the fact that Sac has two close FBS losses. I think it would take more than that to get Sac to the Top Four, particularly given Sac only playing Cow Poly (despite triple option issues) this week....

This is the first time I've ever seen three schools from the MEAC(A&T,A&M,BCU) are in the top 25

It was based on the previous STATS poll. Those I moved into the "poll" were in the STATS ORV....

FWIW, one of my compatriots at SacBuzz mentioned Kennesaw's lack of SOS (two NAIAs on the schedule), and therefore wondered why they're STILL ranked higher than Sac. That IS confusing, given that they're ALSO in the Big South, which is a nothing league now that Liberty and Coastal Carolina have defected.

SMH....

I just checked Kennesaw's schedule. It's even worse than I thought. Their one FBS game is a close loss to 3-5 Kent State, hardly comparable to Sac's performances against Fresneck and Danny White University. They have the aforementioned two NAIAs, which will surely count against them in the committee room. And their two FCS OOC games? Alabama State and SW Missouri State, both of which have losing records. All Kennesaw really has is some blowout wins over in-conference flunkies. How in the heck does THAT warrant a #4/5 ranking?!? Particularly in light of Sac's three wins over ranked opponents (OK, so one of them is no longer ranked), two of which were in the Top Ten at the time of their thrashing at the hands of the Hornets.

I would say Kennesaw should be viewed like SHSU. Take Em with a grain of salt.
