Why no thread on this yet? It certainly deserves it own thread....

I think it is great.... It does mean that there is no chance they show up for CAT/griz this year... But these two teams a very good, and the game will be very heated... I like this better than when they went to Fargo for the NDSU VS Incarnate Word. The JMU/Nova was a great turnout as well.

Think the winner will end up getting the #1 seed, loser the #3.

This doesn’t help SDSU’s chances this weekend. Will be a distraction. Hopefully Stiegelmeier doesn’t do anything stupid like before the game march his team to the CGD area to stand before the cameras and take in the festivities like the JMU HC Withers did in 2015, a mistake that Mike Houston didn’t repeat when JMU hosted CGD a 2nd time in 2017.

Gill brought the news to that thread. It kind of floored me but there was some anticipation on BV.

The campus map I posted on the MVFC thread wont appear anymore, but it showed a lot of growth on the SDSU campus. Haven't been there for a few years. Things change fast in Brookings. Looking forward to the visit Saturday. Ive only been to the Dyhouse once and there were still construction cranes and temporary wooden sidewalks.

Ill wear my Bison shirt under my coat so the crowd at Rays Corner won't get nervous.

Somebody better give Corso a map.

Will SDSU win the championship this year? JMU and NDSU both hosted and both won after hosting Gameday.

One thing that makes this game interesting is that NDSU has the potential to challenge the 1996 Marshall squad as the most dominant team in I-AA/FCS history. Actually there is an argument for saying NDSU already missed the mark because they beat UCD by "only" 11 and the closest anybody came to 1996 Marshall was 14 (App State). But for sure if this is a close game we can file this year away and wait on some future year to produce a team as dominant at that 1996 Marshall team was.

Yes. They were 15-0 in 1996. There were 3 ranked teams in the Southern Conference besides Marshall: E Tenn State, Furman and App State

No strength of schedule issues.

1996 also looks like Boise States first year in the Mountain West removing a major advisary. NDSU experienced something similar. Both App State and Georgia Southern left the division as NDSU came in.
