**********FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE**********
GAM Labs publishing date Oct 20, 2019

This weeks projected outcomes for the MVFC:
5Dimes added Oct 21
NDSU* @ SDSU
GAM: NDSU -7; O/U 47; Mythical score NDSU 27-20
5 Dimes: NDSU -4.5; O/U 47
SIU* @ USD
GAM: SIU -1; O/U 55; Mythical score SIU 28-27
expect a tremendous game with 2 equally matched teams. This was basically a pick-em. Didn't like the way USD faded last week and SIU was returning to form
5 Dimes: USD -8; O/U 56
UNI* @ MSU
GAM: UNI -11; O/U5 51; Mythical score UNI 31-20
5 Dimes: UNI -17; O/U 44.5
WIU @ YSU*
GAM: YSU -8; O/U 54; Mythical score YSU 31-23
5 Dimes: YSU -14.5; O/U 49
INS @ ILS*
GAM: ILS -6; O/U 42; Mythical score ILS 24-18
5 Dimes: ILS -10; O/U 35.5

Lots of great games in the MVFC next week highlighted by the high stakes Marker Game. The best match-up is probably SIU @ USD. Every game has something to offer anybody that likes to get out and watch a football game.

I have only watched D2 and FCS. Been to a lot of stadiums and on a lot of road trips. They were mini vacations for out family and still are. They talk about Bison Fatigue in Fargo. Its true many games are blowouts, maybe not worth watching? But if they like football just look around.

A fun stadium to visit is St. Cloud State. D2, on the Mississippi River, great views, good D2 ball. D2 ball is great football. Mankato the same way. Great town too. If people like football and enjoy a day trip these stadiums and a lot more are great places to visit and see a fun football game.

Bemidji has a beautiful D2 stadium on Diamond Point. Look for concerts at the Sanford center in Bemidji. Stay at the Country in, connected to the center by inside walk way through stores and bars/restaurants. Its a lot of fun, not that expensive and a nice place to stay. Get lakeside view at least once.

Image

For us it was always a fun way to weekend. We enjoy footballing and intend to be in the bars next week in Brookings for what is amounting to a huge, huge game for both programs this year. The game will change the fate of both teams.

Dana J Dykhouse stadium is one of the nations best. Take a look for yourself:

I don’t know where they plan to set up but it will be nutz uptown. Looks like our road trip game day experience to Brookings just got jacked up a few notches. These are the times I wish I still had my RV then I come to my senses.

Only 155 tickets left on stub hub this morning 311 when I first looked yesterday.

SDSUs power ranking slipped a bit this week and NDSU cranked theirs down a little. Bison clear favorite.

There was a comment on sioux sports. That particular UND fan is thrilled they left the Big Sky and joined “the right conference”. The reality is UND got kicked out of the BSC and the MVFC was on the spot to let them in. Their acceptance weakens the MVFC conference but would enhance Summit non-scholarship football.

All-and-all it’s a good thing for the FCS. Great game, high stakes with the Marker representing the Championship of Dakota College football and a great setting in Brookings with the beautiful stadium and congenial small town paradise as perfect backdrops to the biggest sporting event in the history of the Dakotas:
The Dacotah College Football Championship. Winner gets The Marker Stone!

The sign thread at BVille is funny. In reference to that thread there is this gem from AGS:
SDSU and NDSU should join forces to only have signs mocking the Gophers.

GAM Labs is starting to dismantle the control council. It will be moved to FL next week. GAM Labs headquarters will be up for sale. Nice place we built 21 years ago will serve some family very well as it served ours.

No more taxes to the authoritarian state of MN. Others will have to “give” more to keep all of our new residents living in the style they have become accustom. We will be living in MN 4 months of the year now and pay state income taxes to nobody!

Lots of folks fleeing the insanity of MN and the high taxes. They are starting to run out of other people’s money. Too bad they are forcing so many out but who can live with their racist, give away mentality and horrible obama created failing, racist schools?

We aren’t racists so we are cutting off the money as best we can. We cut Off what used to be a Lutheran Church of God but is now a human trafficking business. what was once a church is now a declared sanctuary building in defiance of community laws. They have become blasphemous in their distortion of Gods word so they can rake in billions from us for their gov sponsored human trafficking at $5,0000/head delivered.

From there they receive a share in administering all of the social services trafficked humans are “entitled” including free housing owned by the LSS partners and rent paid for by real people that pay taxes. These subsidies of course drive rents up making it very difficult for mostly white working people (a lot of white single mothers created by a failing society with brown/black kids No father in sight) to keep up with the government supported rents. I know, I’m a landlord.

We won’t take any of the abundant government supported families. We won’t subsidize our building, at least until we are out of here. Then we will section 8 it and leave the town with more government sponsored blight while we rake in stupid high rent checks.

Mn has a tax form for split citizenships. It is cumbersome, incomplete and difficult to use because tax flight hasn’t been a problem for them. This will change as the money flees. I expect some kind of gestapo crack down from them like the state of New York.

In the meantime the GAM is clicking and buzzing, steam pressure up and stacks billowing the beautiful grey smoke of money. We timed our coal supply just right!

**********FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE**********
GAM Publishing October 23, 2019

Just ripped from the wire:

For the week of 10/26/19 The GAM says:
Montana State* @ UND
Montana State -5; O/U 65; Mythical score: Montana State 35-30
5 Dimes: Pick the winner 120 for 100; O/U 59.5

Montana State has a clear advantage on Offense with the rushing game vs. UNDs weaker rushing defense. I expect UND to get every one of their 248 passing yards but it wont be enough. Montana States offense looks to be too much.

Right now the typical game for UND sees the offense scoring 26.99 and the defense allowing 31.38. This is not what you see from a more successful team but they keep on winning. They can run their head coach down all they want, clear out of town for all I care, but they have to tip their hats to him. He is doing as well as any coach could in that circumstance.

His secret is his efficient offense scoring a TD on average every 95 yds. Under 100 is of course what you are looking for. Unfortunately it only takes teams 85 yds to get it back, but somehow they are 4-3 and a fun team to watch.

Montana State profiles more like an elite team although they have struggled against the stronger teams on their schedule and lost. On a typical day Montana State should score 37.91 points and the defense allow 27.14. That's exactly the kind of game the GAM is telling us will unfold on Saturday.

Noon Kickoff Central Time.

A 5 Dimes pick-em on the UND game with the GAM signaling a clear Montana State advantage is tempting to take. The over is also tempting but not as much. The game has been put into a "watch" status.

UND is just too volatile. They profile like a bottom feeder but with a slim advantage here-and-there are able to have a 4-3 record and considered a play-off bubble team. This is the kind of team we call "Bubbling Under".

They are better than their statistics show. They are learning to win and need a few more guys. They are a team looking for a big upset, not the little ones like UCD, already well ridden and put away wet.

A win on Saturday could give them the momentum they need to carry them to the playoffs. There are some hurdles to get over. Their schedule is still full of pitfalls but Saturday could set the stage for an exciting run if they can pull it off. A loss of course is the proverbial "wet blanket".

Here is how NDSU stacks up against this weeks AGS top 10:
  • 2. JMU +3
    3. SDSU +7
    4. WSU +10
    5. Sac State +4
    6. Villinova +7
    7. Montana +9
    8. KSU +1
    9. UNI +14
    10. ILS +26
KSU is a surprising +1 and the best bet to beat the Bison. We pulled up their profile and found KSU
  • outscored the Bison on the season
    stingier defense
    out rushes the Bison
typically scores 41/game allowing only 13.88
scores faster than the Bison every 76 yds vs. 84 yds for NDSU
held up well against Kent State losing in OT 26-23
There is no telling what the line might be if the game ever happens but right now its a surprising 1 point spread, route factor all Bison.

Default Re: College GameDay Celebrity

Didn't really know where to post this, but just some advice for the people that are going to GameDay broadcast. Obviously congrats to SDSU, this is a time to showcase the university and is a testament to the consistency of the program. Huge honor for the state and should be a great atmosphere.

GameDay will start at 8 am until 11 am. I attended the Iowa State and Texas GameDay earlier this year so these should be very applicable to Brookings (yes, I have been before and everytime it somehow snows).

The pit is the only part of the gameday that is difficult to get into, I know at each place people started lining up as soon as the university would let them (I believe 5:30 am for Iowa State). They do an early morning glimpse of people lining up and they start a Twitter show at 7:30 am to start getting people prepped for the real thing.

Remember the pit has extremely strict rules regarding sign language, there is no food or drink, bags, and make sure to think about the restroom. You have to leave the pit everytime you want to go. In addition, YOU CANNOT BRING FLAGS OR SIGNS WITH POLES IN HERE. Save those for outside of the pit.

In my opinion though, being outside of the pit is just a good, if not better than actually being in. I know the broadcast is on campus, so I am doubting they'll let you drink outside (we did at Iowa State and it was awesome). We got to GameDay extremely late in Texas (about 10 am) and early (about 7 am) for Iowa State. This is the place where people bring flags with poles and signs that you can stand up. My opinion is the best spot to go is the side stage that is outside of the pit. This is the place that Carson King from Iowa was at with his sign, it is pretty empty earlier and they do a segment out there and allows for a great chance to see the broadcast up close and personal. In addition, the celebrity arrives different ways, some go through the crowd if associated with the university. McConaghey came in a sweet car through the crowd and Eric Church was right in the bus.

Make sure the empty the tank, be ready for a crazy and long day, and enjoy it. Hope the weather is great!

(Fyi... so my post isn't totally off topic...
I'm guessing it will be Brock Lesnar, they usually announce it Friday so be ready!)

Silly argument going on about why Game Day is in Brookings. It's the game I think.

This is a celebrated rivalry going back over 100 years. It has been hot and cold. But since the beginning SDSU has been there. Currently they are one of the few FCS teams able to mount a legit challenge.

Both are Mighty Land Grants. Both created the old NCC, moved to D1, created the Great West Conference of FCS independents, have rebuilt the Summit and strengthened the MVFC. They put Dakota football on the map.

For 15 years the de-facto Dacotah College Football Championship has been played symbolized by the Border Marker Stone in "The Marker Game". Truly capturing the attention of the Dakotas it is huge. It's new. Its fun, full of energy and pageantry. This is "The Game" for the Dakotas. I think that's why Game Day is there.

Without this game they are at Ohio State.

Under consideration
  • SIU to win 100 for 245
Bison to win and cover 4.5. 120 to win 100
ILS vs INDS over 35.5. 120 to win 100
The SIU game is a 5 Dimes reversal of a GAM position in mandatory “Analysis Status”

We passed on the UND game but hope to see some of it. Once again they find themselves in the Jr Bowl with a noon kickoff. The Championship game for the Dakota Marker is at 2pm. The Jr Bowl was traditionally USD and UND. It gave the Marker Game a more Dakotah flair but they stopped scheduling like that. It highlighted the inter state championship between The Great Dakota Land Grants. Something they prefer to ignore.

As an aside I’m setting a tile floor in a bathroom. I’m using Schuller(sp) Ditra underlayment sheets. It completely water proofs the floor and provides a great surface for the thin set to adhere. New product to me

They make a Ditra wall underlayment for shower/bath stalls too.

Good stuff. Expensive but worth it. A roll of Ditra or 100 down on a game at five dimes? :?

Looking for upsets outside the MVFC

just off the wire from GAM Labs:
Weber* @ UCD: Weber -3; O/U 54; Mythical Score: Weber 29-26
Weber is the superior team having a power ratio of .6408, good enough to be competitive with anybody. The FCS best is just under .5. Their secret is a stingy defense with a very steep* field. It takes opponents 126 yds on avg to score 7. UCD may win TOP and Total Offense but The GAM says not the game.
5 Dimes has: UCD -2.3; O/U 54.5
Montana @ EWU*: EWU -1; O/U 63; Mythical Score: EWU 32-31
This could be one humdinger of a game. These teams profile almost identically but for different reasons. Both are yardage machines with a short field getting 7 for under 100 yds. The big thing for Montana is the 440 yds/game they concede while only giving up 185 points. The opponents field is a long 117 yds. Teams must be getting into the red zone but not getting the points they might expect. Just a little more efficiency in the red zone for EWU means this game is not typical and Montana loses. It deserves to be a 1 point game.
5 Dimes has: Montana -7.5; O/U 76

*GAM Labs will refer to the long field as a steep field because the number actually represents the slope of a line with total points on the Y axis and total yards on the X.

Golden Arm Productions is on the line with

SIU to win. $100 for $245
NDSU to win and cover 4.5. $120 for $100

We also considered ILS/INDS to go over 35.5. Still seems like low hanging fruit but we didn’t want to pay the $20 juice twice. We were burned on that earlier this year so we paid the juice on the most reliable team: NDSU BISON

Lots of optimism, excitement and exaggeration about crowds this week in Brookings. It’s all part of the fun as thousands are decendng on the SDSU campus and Brookings. Reports say the crowd around the stage is building, show kicks off at 8am.

Go Bison! Go for two!!
