Unranked team beating the piss out of #13.

But pollsters know what they're doing. :coffee:

Colgate not completely brushed off as it is now 27-7.

Maybe Villanova is shaving some points.

Youngstown leads Samford 24-7 at the half.

The Penguins are outplaying Samford, but it should be closer because YSU got away with murder on those 2 INTs.

Yeah, I only watched ten seconds of ESPN, and it was a clear PI not called on YSU, ball tipped up, then INT. Samford coach was flapping his arms like my son with Asperger's did when he was three. Dude was hot!

Colgate kicker Chris Puzzi lays massive hit in first game of the college season

Chris Puzzi can join the pantheon of great tackling kickers.

Several polls have Samford in the bottom half of the SoCon this year, so maybe they got this one right.

I’m hoping they’re wrong on El Cid being in the bottom half.

If we can keep Flacco from prancing all over the field like last year, we will

But we just installed a 3-4 defense, which means the key to stopping Flacco will be for our offense to stay on the field for 80% of the game

Play some Civil War motivational stuff to the team, tell them how Maryland was a hotbed for stealing away your darkies on the underground railroad. Whatever it takes. Just beat Towson.

After the CAA epic fail in the playoffs last year, there aren't going to be the usual 12 CAA teams in the playoffs this year. You may have to go above .500 to get in as a CAA team, and I need you to pin an L on TU.

Well, I see Citadel didn't do itself any scheduling favors, with the 1st 3 weeks TU, @ Elon, @ Georgia Tech.

I think have a better chance against Elon, who won't have an extra week to prepare for the triple option like TU did last year (and has this year). I don't know when the last time Elon faced a triple option was. Plus Elon with the new HC & staff might not be firing on all cylinders by Week 2.

CAA will get 4 in this year Max.

YSU was picked to finish 7th in the MVFC, and Samford was picked to finish 6th in the So-Con. Like VU, YSU no I-A game. My guess is YSU would have a better chance of making the playoffs as say the 5th MVFC team at 8-4/4-4, than VU would out the CAA at 8-4/4-4. We'll see.

If you knew anything about The Citadel football, you would know that we will come out of that stretch 3-0, then lose to CSU and go .500 in the SoCon.
