Will the lower level bunch of blue seats be known as the Biden/Christie sections?

I don't think they're wide enough to be named after Christie.

Indeed - Christie was incredibly fat - tv didn't do it justice, you had to see that guy in person. How he never broke those old wooden fold-up chairs they used in the old box seats is beyond me.
As for Biden, he's a BHINO - Blue Hen in name only. I don't recall him being at anymore than 1 or 2 games ever. I'm not sure he knows where Newark is, and that was even before the dementia set in. I'm okay with that, though, he didn't bandwagon jump, he just never got on.

True. Carper usually makes an appearance, especially in even number years (imagine that!). I chatted with Chris Coons for quite awhile at my tailgate in 2010. He seemed like a genuinely good dude, other than his actual political stances.GannonFan wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2020 7:11 amIndeed - Christie was incredibly fat - tv didn't do it justice, you had to see that guy in person. I think I saw Biden once at a game. He did used to speak at the University a lot when I was there. I went to see one of his chats in one of the rooms in Perkins. It was typical political fluff. I even went to see Jimmy Carter speak at the Bob years after graduating. My God was that boring.

You can tell by how those guys behind him are dressed that they're true blue hens fans.
Speaking of which, I was the row in front of, and eight seats to his right (left in the photo). I was in row 2 and Biden row 3. There were also three SS agents standing on the edge of the field and looking up at the crowd the entire game. Just for fun, I kept making eye contact with the one standing almost directly in front of me and darting my eyes over to Biden every once in awhile and trying to look as nervous as I could. I wanted to keep him on his toes.

I know Biden has been to several games, but UD has managed to lose all of them. Maine, EWU, etc. The Scranton Joe Jinx.

I am just happy that I was able to fully utilize this Delaware landmark before it was torn down.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I didn’t see the one he was talking about
It was muted what with all the earth tones around it

Behind the football stadium. There's also an indoor one in the field house (the big quonset hut with solar panels on the roof):

Why are they using Rhode Island colors for the seats?

Re: RIP Delaware Piss Wall
Indeed. He's a guy who shows up at the end most of the time. I don't believe he made the UD game against Colgate in Chatty, and look how that ended up. He did host something in DC a few weeks later in celebration.
He was never the presence at games that other UD politicians were. I remember Bill Roth (Roth IRA fame) walking his dogs around the tailgate areas before games. Mike Castle did and still does go to the lionshare of games. Same with Carper. And Christie would come flying in late in a speeding NJ motorcade most of the time, but at least he got there. Roselle (former UD president) was great at cultivating politicians since he really was fantastic at fund raising and getting money out of Dover. When Harker took over he was just not a very likeable man and I think a lot of those relationships waned. The Assanis guy there now seems like a decent guy.

Re: RIP Delaware Piss Wall
The state colors come from the flag which is more of a powder blue and canary (not very manly, I get it). Obviously UD uses much better shades. However, there were several years when the helmets didn't match the jerseys. One year darker, the next lighter. And then they started in with this more electric blue and yellow (not a fan). And don't even get me started on white pants.
