McNeese Fires Lance Guidry

Wow. You saw that before I did as I pretty much zoned out with McNeese's late season collapse. But I will say that I was not thrilled when he was hired. I hoped it'd turn out well but I was never impressed with him. It goes all the way back to the 2002 team that made the national championship game when he was defensive coordinator. I always felt that that defense under achieved given the talent it had and his defense got punked by Western Kentucky's coaching staff in the national championship game.
Now it's a bunch of uncertainty though. I have liked the fact that McNeese has historically had a certain culture and philosophy and I'm worried that will end now. But it's a school located in a very fertile recruiting area with a greater potential fan base support level than any other school in the Southland so I hope it will work out.
