Nicholls leads SELU 23-0 nearing halftime

Nicholls roasts SELU 44-0 and officially clinches the Southland auto. They have a shot at a seed, but they'd need some help.

NW State beats SFA in Nacogdoches 35-23, outscoring them 28-7 in the second half.

Nicholls might now be the only Southland playoff team.

I think UIW will get in, and Lamar & ACU have good shots if they win since they're on long winning streaks.

IF McNeese beats Lamar they will have beaten both ACU and Lamar head to head. Plus they beat Nicholls State, which is now a "quality win." So I think IF they beat Lamar they would be in before ACU or Lamar would be.

I think if there is a second team from the Southland it'll be UIW if they beat North Alabama; which they should be able to do.

All a shame because McNeese should be playing for the automatic bid this weekend. They were there with a quality field goal kicker poised for a walk off win and somebody missed an assignment that let a guy run right through the tackle box untouched to block a field goal. Just totally inexcusable.
