How Many Big Sky Seeds?

Never too early to talk about playoffs.

Montana and Eastern do not play each other this season. Neither do Montana and Weber or Davis and Weber.

Looking at remaining schedules, there’s a decent chance that all four teams finish 9-2 or better.

Of course Sac, MSU, and ISU may figure into the mix.

Montana’s hardest remaining games are Davis and the Cats and they get both at home. Who do they lose to?

I still don't fully trust this team on the road. I could see a slip up at NoDak or, less likely, SUU.

4.
Eastern Washington
UC Davis
Montana
Weber State

Edit, I misread the title.

The Big Sky will get two seeds. Most likely the winners of Weber/EWU and UC Davis/Montana. The losers of those games will most likely get at large bids

Are you asking seeds or bids? It actually IS too early to be talking about seeds. Need to see who is left at the end of the season. What are there, 8 seeds? That means max of two from Big Fluff.

Seeds.

I just found it interesting that the way the schedule plays out the current Fluffy front runners have a very limited amount of games against each other and they could all finish with seed worthy records and resumes. Adding to this is an apparently down Southern with likely only Wofford being seed worthy, an SLC full of weak schedules (where the conference front runners also avoid playing each other to an extent), an MVFC that could potentially eliminate all but two seed possibilities through attrition (especially with ISUr's loss to MSU), and JSU already with one FCS loss and another pending at the end of the season in Kennesaw State.

If you don't like early playoff and seeding talk, start your own damn thread!

I could have sworn we played ISU this year. Stupid massively large conference.

Also, Idaho is a rivalry game, on the road. Granted, none of the players really know it as a rivalry yet, and who knows how long that will take to hammer back into shape, but stranger things have happened in that state.

1- EWU will be the only seed out of the big sky. Weber I still think is overrated at this point and have not impressed me. I think they lose 2 times still. EWU will in the big sky. Montana will be a 9-2 or 8-3 team and host a first round game. Davis is a good team but they have 5 tough games left and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them lose 3 of those. 7-4 with an FBS win should stil get them a road game in the playoffs in my opinion.

I think North Dakota is pretty good.

Not saying they will, but Montana could possibly lose to UND, UCD and/or Montana St, with a less likely chance of losing at SUU.

Then Idaho State must be pretty good too.

1- The Eagles
If EWU beats Weber next weekend they will be in front of the Wildcats.
Even if MT wins out their loss to WIU is a worse loss than Eagles loss to Pac 12 and possibly 10 win Cougars.
Too many good teams in strong conferences for The Big Sky to get more than 1 seed.

Hi Claw!

SDSU no doubt.

But then who else for sure? Elon? URI? SBU? Towson? ISU? Missouri State? Nicholls? Chatty? I’d bet all of those teams with the exception of Nicholls will pick up at least one more loss with SOS’s very comparable to the BSC front runners.

UCD isn't a gimmie for EWU or UM.

I think it's safe to say the Griz won't be getting one.

Maybe steal an 8 if they play well and get a few gifts.

But yes. Goodbye seed.

Oh yeah. Idaho State appears to be a threat to win the Big Sky.

After today, imho ISU at least should be part of the conversation. Tanner Gueller should be national player of the week with 8 touchdown passes, 492 passing yards and another 81 on the ground.

3 BSC teams are still u defeated in league play. ISU, UCD, and EWU. UCD hosts ISU next week so at best there will only be 2 unbeatens this time next week.

Montana isnt very good and they will lose at least 3 more games so we are out.

Eastern is the only decent team from this soft conference then Cal Davis and Idaho State, the rest are hot garbage.

We only deserve 1 seed

Wins over a 2-4 loss UCD, 3-5 loss UND, MSU, and UNI would get the Griz a seed at 9-2
