Dartmouth has hired Callie Brownson as offensive quality control coach, making Coach Brownson the first woman to be a full-time coach at the D-I level.

Congratulations, Coach Brownson!

That's cool, be you!

Hope she does well. A women's perspective in play calling philosophy might be different.

Honest question - what exactly does an offensive quality control coach do?

I think it's a position for when you you're already at your assistant coaches limit but have someone who knows their shit, is willing to volunteer or earn camp money, and does not qualify as a grad assistant.

I noticed that there was a female ref at the VT @ ODU game.

I noticed her when she called a WR out of bounds and the call was overturned.

At least she had decent tits.

This woman played in a womens' football league but it calls to mind my belief that it should be possible to coach football effectively without ever having played football. Coaching is strictly an intellectual exercise. It should be possible for someone who never played football by virtue of not having the athletic ability to do so to nevertheless coach it by learning the principles of the game and effectively directing people who DO have the athletic ability.

I don't think it's any more necessary to have played football to be a football coach than it is to have been a chess piece in order to play chess.

Same thing for Ravens v. Broncos today - the stripes worked well in her ensemble...

That may be the stupidest analogy anyone on this board has ever used. I’m a lesser person for having read it. May God have mercy on your soul. :tothehand:

Pam is obviously cowed by your toxic masculinity and, in light of her lack of empowerment (caused by your rape culture), is just going along with you

I don't think it's stupid at all. When someone plays chess they know the "capability" of each piece. You can take it from there. The point is that there is absolutely no reason to think someone has to have been a football player in order to understand the game then address tactics and strategy. They don't need to have been a player to assess players' capabilities either.

You’re comparing a piece of plastic to a human being, you dolt. :tothehand:

And you claim to be “pro-life.” :ohno:
