Basically trying to kill the triple option

https://www.sbnation.com/college-footba ... orgia-tech

They feature Army, Navy, and GT but of course there are others...

Like teams that are better than Army and Navy over the last 3 meetings each, but that’s another thread

I will be watching it all afternoon. I’ll report back with my observations

This offseason, the sport’s decision makers did something about it.

All blocks below the waist now have to come within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage.
All blocks below the waist now have to come from the front, unless they’re by offensive linemen while the ball is still inside the tackle box.
A penalty costs 15 yards, same as before.
Not really sure why the above is a bad move. Maybe someone can explain.

The Citadel ran it against Towson yesterday. Exposed our NGs weakness. I’m going to expect a shit ton of inside run play calling against us.

Not nearly as exposed as our garbage defense

Flacco is the real deal though

You’re right. Our offense was never really threatened. Flacco escaped a sure sack, I turned to my dad and said how’d he get out of that. He hit another gear and went 76yds down the field!
Still. Your FB and interior o-linemen absolutely used our three NGs like tools. Of those 350 rushing yds. 80% were between the guards.

I was a G and C. It was beautiful.

I'm going to have to disagree. I'm all for this rule, it's just dirty football really. You either can block a guy or you can't but cutting guys downfield is a way to ruin careers....
