If they've already been posted I apologize. I'll admit that the only reason I know about the list is that Keith Zembower referenced it in his Zem's Gems blog and mentioned that McNeese at Northern Colorado is one of them. Northern Iowa at Montana is #1.

That’s a great slate of intriguing matchups not the least of which is UNC and McNeese.

EWU - NAU should be included. :coffee:

I would have listed The Citadel - Towson instead of the CSU game

a SoCon-CAA matchup is always significant

From the Big Sky, the Idaho-Montana game has been played more than any other Big Sky Conference game. The Griz fans will travel well to Moscow. It should make for a great college football environment.

Delaware game made the list. One game on the Bison schedule I do want to get to.

That blip has passed. The only reason it ever became more than a yawner was because they figured out how to win it

It's interconference games.
And then the first sentence of the article:
(STATS) -- The best part of this year's nonconference schedule between FCS programs is the best games go on and on.
Semantics.

It's not an "interconference" game but it is a "nonconference" game. In the eyes of the committee and for the sake of SoS it matters greatly. Your conference chooses games for you but you get to set your own "out of conference" schedule. This year, NAU is out of conference.

EG: Bethune Cookman @ TSU is "interconference" but it pales in relevance to EWU @ NAU - especially when it comes to rankings, at-large selections, and seeding.

I'm usually more interested when the Bison play teams that they don't usually play, regardless of playoff implications. Tennessee St game is interesting to me, in that they have a transfer from the University of Minnesota at QB. Is Croft good enough to turn them into a contender? BCU is always in the running for the MEAC.

EWU vs NAU is still 2 teams within the same conference, no matter how it's labeled.

I’d prefer to play a team of NAU’s caliber from a different conference as well and EWU is willing to
play anyone anywhere but we probably don’t need to get into scheduling challenges for BSC teams that average less than 18,000 in attendance.

I look at it from a playoff and national relevance view point. BCU and TSU is a decent matchup between two teams that will be one and done if they make the playoffs. Not as intriguing of a noncon matchup to me.
