Portland State's home scheduling

Due to conflicts with the Portland Timbers and Portland Thorns, PSU football will play all their "home" games except the Northern Colorado game at Hillsboro Stadium this season. The UNC game will be played at Providence Park, unless the Timbers demand that date, too (in which case, meet us at a local park).

Sounds like a precursor to being kicked out of Providence Park altogether…

Providence Park is a dope venue, but maybe PSU should invest in an on-campus stadium. Is the Portland State campus extremely cramped or something?

Considering it’s in downtown Portland I’m going to hazard a guess and say yes.

Poor Vikings can't get away from playing on a baseball field.

It is penned in pretty well on the South Blocks. Also, the city is not progressive in investing in sports venues. Portland has been trying to decide where to build a baseball stadium for five years now (and who will pay for it). If PSU were to build a stadium, it would most likely have to come from the university itself.

It can’t get worse than being booted for soccer, especially women’s soccer.

4 out of 5 home games must be played at Hillsboro Stadium?? That stadium looks like crap. That’s not good enough Portland State, maybe if PSU gets booted from Prov. Park they’ll be forced to find an on-campus solution.
