There were at least 6 players that were a better PotW choice than Patrick Tyler. :?

188 yards on 33 attempts isn't that good, is all I'm saying. Roman Ale, Elijah Marks, and something like 4 guys from ISU had much more impressive stat lines than Tyler.

That's what happens when you play Portland State this year.

Tyler also had the best win of any of those players.

I was referring to your smarmy comments on Tyler missing the SAC game...you humorless bastard! :kisswink:

Well, OK, if you think the QB is literally the only guy on a team that matters. I don't recall anyone seriously saying Trent Dilfer should've gotten the MVP in Super Bowl XXXV.

Yeah, I figured you couldn't let go of that. ;)

I think he was very instrumental in their win, especially in the 4th quarter. If you've read the blog at all this season I've given Marks his props as well, his stats are basically the same every week.

Tyler played pretty well, for sure, and he helped lead SUU to a big upset. Still… he was facing off against EWU's defense and not their offense. The other choices I mentioned were also facing weak defenses, but they had better numbers (and Roman Ale had never even taken a collegiate snap before, I don't believe).

I still like the blog, though. :thumb:

Typically I'll default to biggest win when I can't decide.. as I had about three guys in mind. No one played out of their minds this week.

Ale looked good....but it was against UND's depleted and hapless "defense". We'll see what he is really made of when he faces NAU's defense this week.
