The Tribe will be an interesting factor in the crowded CAA South. Concerns about RJ Archer filling Jake Phillips' shoes are generally not shared by those close to the program. Archer showed his talent in his only start against Villanova last fall. He's an exceptional athlete, who started for two years at WR while waiting for Phillips and Mike Potts to graduate. Exceptional fundamentals, and a very strong arm. The clips below show a polished QB.

The Tribe defense returns all eight players who were part of the DL rotation last year, and adds DT Bryan Jean-Pierre, who missed last year. DE Adrian Tracy, and SS David Caldwell lead a unit that may be the best the Tribe has fielded since the NCAA #2 ranked defense of '96.
