Villanova University head football coach Andy Talley and the Wildcat football program will host a bone marrow testing drive on Thursday, March 26 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The screening will be held in the St. David/Radnor rooms of the Connelly Center. The slogan for this year's testing is "Get in the Game and Save a Life."
Now in his 17th year of association with the bone marrow donor program, Talley continues to hold testing drives to get people tested and typed into the national registry. Since 1992, Talley's efforts have resulted in over 3,500 potential donors being successfully tested and entered into the registry.
Talley has partnered with the National Bone Marrow Program to take his efforts to the national level. Talley has received commitments from 30 other college football programs who will join in the screening process. This year's goal of the "Get in the Game and Save a Life" program is to test 5,000 people. Last year, the spring testing resulted in 2,600 people being entered into the national registry.
