Yes

Briscoe set the FCS single season TD record, Gubrud set the FCS single season passing yards record and got within 33 yards of the total offense record (I know...playoffs included). They both had better statistical years than Coop.

But the best offensive football player in FCS was Kupp. I also think Abdullah was close.
