Great OOC schedule.

This is the schedule of a team that wants serious at-large consideration

Its going to be tough to get an at-large. Next year is also a conditional AQ year that will grant an AQ to the NEC champ if that team has 2 OOC wins over AQ leagues, has 8 DI wins, and is ranked at an average of 16 or higher in the Coaches, Sportsnetwork and the modified GPI (computers only).

I can see Albany going 10-1 with a loss at Georgia Southern or at home to Maine (either one, but not both) and still not being ranked 16th. But Harvard at 9-1 with wins over only PL teams will be ranked in the top 15 no doubt.

If Albany doesn't meet that standard its unlikely they'll get an AQ. Too easy of an excuse to not give them one.

I know I sound like DetroitFlyer, but unfortunately its the truth.

If Albany wins two of three from UMass, Ga Southern, and Maine, and wins the NEC undefeated, I don't see how they could not get in.

NEC offers what 40 schollies now?

I would be more likely to think that the case if they were to winn 2 or 3 as it would be less likely that it could be ignored that they were a solid team. With only one win it could be argued that the game was a fluke whereas with two of the three that would be tough to do.

NEC is only at 34 this year ( :lame: ). 2 a year to 40 max from here on out.

Hopefully Albany will be out of the NEC after the 2010 season. Affiliate contract expires and I really hope they don't renew it.

And I could definitely see Albany winning 2 out of 3 and not getting in.
Just look at last year - if Albany had beaten Delaware and Hofstra and lost to UNH and UMass I still don't think they would have gotten in.

It will all depend on what type of season Maine, Umass and GSU have.

That is a good lookin' schedule danefan. :thumb: Especially the OOC.

Definite props for scheduling the hard games and trying to earn it instead of hangin' out in cupcake city. :D

solid schedule for Albany. Glad to see they got home OOC game after being shafted and having the umass game flipped.
