Lincolnton High WR Sage Surratt commits to Harvard
Surratt, a 6-foot-4 senior ... two-sport high school star in football and basketball, Surratt told the Observer last month that he had decided to play football in college and had narrowed his choices to five schools: Harvard, Indiana, North Carolina, South Carolina and Yale.
Sage Surratt is the state’s all-time leader in receptions with 295. Surratt’s 4,542 career yards ranks second in state history.
Surratt, 18, could’ve joined his brother, Chazz, at North Carolina. Chazz is a freshman quarterback with the Tar Heels. (He is the state’s all-time leader in total offense and touchdown responsibility.) The brothers had played the past three seasons together at East Lincoln.
Sage Surratt transferred to rival Lincolnton last summer.
Warning to the Crimson: Look out for Yale! The Surratt Bros have a propensity to 'flip' to rival schools. Chazz
dumped Duke for Carolina [snicker]
btw - Sage initially expressed a desire to play basketball over football. He averaged 31 ppg last year (hope he doesn't have Roy Williams on speed dial

)
