You must be joking? UD is terrible. This is not the game of the week.
JMU 38
UD 17
EDIT: OK, I see the winky emoticon now. I thought you were serious about game of the week.

MVFC has #13 vs #18 and #1 vs #12, not too bad.
I don't think UD wins this one.

What I posted on the UD @ JMU thread on the JMU board:
I realize we have a limited sample here, and no common opponents, buts here's how the 2 teams stack up statistically nationally.
Offensively:
JMU # 4 Total Offense in the nation at 512.2 ypg. #2 rushing in the nation at 328 ypg. #84 passing at 184.2 ypg.
UD #92 in Total Offense in the nation at 307.7 ypg. #15 rushing at 242.3 ypg and #122 (of 122) passing at 65.3 ypg.
Defensively
JMU #37 Total Defense in the nation at 345.5 ypg. #14 rushing defense in the nation at 100 ypg . # passing defense at 245.5 ypg.
UD #10 in Total Defense in the nation at 284.7 ypg. #40 rushing defense at 138.3 ypg and #10 passing defense at 146.3 ypg.

JMU has a huge advantage on offense. UD has the advantage on defense, but maybe not when you consider JMU statistically has a better rush defense than UD, when rushing is UD's stength, and JMU's weakness on defense (vs the pass) UD shouldn't be able to expolit because they apparently haven't discovered the forward pass in Newark.
JMU got raped through the air vs UNC. UNC went 29 of 33 for 462, 3 TDs, 0 INTs, but that was with a QB, RB, 2 WR, and probably several OL who are going to be playin on Sundays. Yesterday vs Pitt the UNC QB was 35 for 46 for 453 yards, 5 TDs, 0 INTs.
JMU was hurt in the 1st half vs Maine through the air, but JMU was playing without 2 time All CAA & pre season QB Taylor Reynolds who was sick but should be back vs UD. But really that won't matter much even if he wasn't since UD can't pass (or they can pass but their WR can't catch).

JMU by 3 TDs, if UD scores over 20 I'd be impressed.

Do these games even get one ratings share? What does it matter to the network really?

Well, ASN's coverage is terrible. At least 3 times during the JMU/Maine game a play was run before they came back from commercial break. But these commentators seemed oblivious to the fact that a pkay was missed & the audience had no idea wtf happened.
Also numerous times when running a replay when JMU was on offense they missed the beginning of (or most of) the next play because JMU is still running a lot of hurry up, and these idiots are oblivious to the fact that if a team is going hurry up there isn't time to run a re play along with babbling about what happened on the previous play unless you are very quick doing it (starting the replay within a couple of seconds after the play ends) and they certainly weren't quick about it.
But I guess I'd rather have shitty coverage than no coverage at all..

You've said this twice now. Am I missing a game somewhere? NDSU vs a team that just lost to Indiana State... They are #12?

South Dakota beat NDSU last year, and the Bison still ended the season on a good note. ISUR has a B1G win and plays the Bison this week and is ranked. The Big Game between 2 ranked teams, IMO is SDSU vs WIU. South Dakota is looking better this year and could give YSU a run. Missouri St might win a game or two this year, in the conference. Just my

, it's your poll and I enjoy that you put it up each week.

JMU Notes from Coach Houston's weekly press conference from Oneill's Bar & Grill in Harrisonburg. About 1/2 related to the Maine game, the rest to UD:
"......Dukes senior cornerback Taylor Reynolds didn’t make the trip with the team to Maine. Houston said Reynolds, “had an issue where he could not play” against the Black Bears. Houston said he does expect Reynolds to play on Saturday against Delaware.....
..- Delaware’s defense has forced 10 total turnovers in three games. Houston said the Blue Hens create pressure on the quarterback and force the signal-caller into mistakes with their four defensive linemen. Delaware has eight sacks this season. Houston said Delaware’s two interior defensive linemen – Blaine Woodson and Bilal Nichols – could create strong pressure up the middle.
- Houston said Delaware would also man blitz and zone blitz throughout the game Saturday. Houston said he believes Delaware has a solid defense and JMU’s offense would be challenged in the running game and passing game.
- Junior quarterback Bryan Schor said the first thing he noticed about Delaware’s defense on film is how big the Blue Hens’ front is. Schor said Delaware always has strong defensive linemen. The JMU quarterback added beating Delaware’s pressure has been an emphasis as soon as the coaches implemented the game plan for Saturday. Schor said he feels like he’s done “okay” against pressuring defenses this season.
- Schor threw the game-winning touchdown pass to wide receiver Brandon Ravenel in JMU’s victory at Delaware last season. Schor said he remembers the pass he threw to Ravenel well. He said the coaches had an all-go play called and he threw the fade to Ravenel because Delaware played one-on-one coverage against the standout receiver...."

Another article from yesterday on the improvement of JMU's defense with comments from Houston & the Maine HC. The bottom line is:
"....JMU tallied 12 tackles for loss, four sacks and three turnovers in the contest.
In comparison, JMU had seven tackles for loss, no sacks and four turnovers in the first three games of the season...."

FWIW Maine doesn't have near the running game that UD has, but they have a much better passing offense (couple of All CAA WR)..

I didn't listen to any press conferences this week, but here's a safe bet:
UD Coach Dave Brock: "We're going to go out there and compete."
Thanks Dave. That's good to know. If you don't mind, perhaps you could encourage the team to try to win soon. You're in year four.

This game is a win/win for Delaware. They've matched up well with JMU recently, won down there in OT two years ago & JMU won in the last minute last year. So if they knock them off again there is still hope for the season. If they lose it greases the rails on the Brock train leaving town so now matter how you look at it UD can't lose.

Sure. His contract is up next year. Traditionally coaches don't coach a lame duck year, nor do they want to, and typically ask for & get an extension before going into the last year of their deal. Brock has done zero currently to merit an extension and he has been vocal about saying this year is a playoff season. The season ticket base has plummeted from a peak of over 11,300 to a meager 5,400. If the new AD & President decide to "wait things out" its certain to be used against UD from a recruiting standpoint. There really aren't any positives about bringing Brock back for his last season on his deal other than saving the approximate $400K salary he's paid.
It's been 3 mediocre to poor years so far, clock's ticking IMHO, he needs to win - this year.
Times yours..

Traditionally coaches.... never leave UD. The administration has as much to do with the poor ticket sales as anyone.
