Maybe they find their way to the FCS national boards at some point but the minimal traffic there would just not move anyone that is not passionate about it to invest the time.

Sorry to see it go down but maybe a new guy will start it over and it will break off the group that thinks they were FBS in the first place. It is a tough situation for those fellers on that board right now though for sure and I feel for them a little bit.

I just don't get why fans of a school would rather see their school be a totally unsuccessful FBS program than be a top level FCS program. Idaho was a very good and proud I-AA program. They were winners. Why is it that their fans are more interested in being perpetual losers in FBS?

That's what I didn't get about the whole "Anything below I-A is beneath our dignity" thing at UOP back in '95. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the Big Sky, and UOP could have recruited there as a unique proposition (i.e. the only private school there), just like when they were in the Big West. Now, they're a private school in a league of private schools, some of which are on the beach, and they wonder why they can't recruit anymore.

Too bad. They'll be in Boone 10/22 so I hope they aren't vengeful on their way out.

It's hard for me to disagree with this.

Maybe its because they realize they don't really stand a chance in the Big Sky either...reality is about to hit them REAL hard....

Couldn't happen to a better fanbase.
