The player transferred in this year from Boise State. This is his first term at PSU. Needless to say, this is not really the type of player we want representing our football team. Supposedly, there was no "alarm bells" about him from the Boise coaching staff.
Stupid move on this guy's part. At least he is suspended until things get worked out. Given Barnum's emphasis on conduct both on and off the field, if he does remain on the team, He could very well be in Barnum's doghouse this season."We are aware of what happened, but at the moment it’s a personal thing he’s dealing with," said Mike Lund, a spokesman with PSU. "We're waiting to see what the resolution to that is before we make any punishment or anything."
PSU has confirmed that Bacon has been suspended from the team indefinitely, until the legal matter has been resolved.
This doesn't even seem to be the primary concern at this point. I have a suspicion the woman in this story may have been damn lucky the real cop showed up when he did.CaseyOrourke wrote:Stupid move on this guy's part. We'll see what happens. Barnum said that PSU football has never experienced something like this so he was unsure of what to do. Sounds like they will stick to the school's code of ethics. Last thing we want is to have the kid be cleared of anything, then sue the school for not granting him a "fair and impartial hearing."Mvemjsunpx wrote:This doesn't even seem to be the primary concern at this point.
