William & Mary's Zable Stadium getting a second deck and new press box. But there will be little change to capacity as they will remove portable endzone seats.

I was there Saturday. The stadium is smack in the middle of campus. Really a great place. Too bad they still have the track, low seats and no seats between the 40's on the visitors side.

The end zone seats are temporary bleachers that are installed for football season only. They have a track and the end zone seats are located between the back of the end zones and the track. They are shitty seats with poor views.

W&M is not looking for increased capacity. They are looking for a better stadium. They just don't have the parking for increased capacity anyway. There were makeshift "suites" at the top of one of the end zone bleachers that will be replaced by new suites as part of the construction. Overall, they can generate much more revenue for the same number of fans.

Meanwhile in Newark, I heard they brought in two more porta-potties to upgrade the north end zone experience. They are also looking into re-painting the parking lot lines for better visibility, but the consultant's study isn't back yet.

Zable Stadium has piss troughs, but no piss wall. So Delaware still has that going for them. :thumb:

Zable would be perfect if they just jacked up both sets of stands another 10-15 ft each. The stands are just too low for the angles and you end up not being able to see half the field during a play. So other than not being able to see what you're there to watch, it's great.

Sad but true. Terrible place to watch a game.

Especially when Sonny Riccio is QB'ing. Fuck me running.
