They wouldn't be starting football. They would be REstarting it. They played football for over 90 seasons from 1896-1986...

I actually went to a Wichita State at LSU game in 1984. It was back when my wife and I were dating and she lived in walking distance of Tiger Stadium. We'd just head out walking to the stadium and hold our fingers up indicating we wanted a couple of tickets and we'd always get some.
As I've said though that's the only way I'd go to a LSU game. When I tried driving to a LSU game for the first time I knew that'd be the last time.
