EWU Player Involved in Shooting

He didn't have the gun (his buddy did) and his buddy did not kill the bystander but he was dismissed from the team immediately.

Jamieson hadn't seen action yet.

Victim was a bystander who got hit, then run over by a mustang leaving the scene.

Ugly stuff in ol' Spokompton and it was at a MLK celebration. :ohno:

According to court documents, Bates voluntarily went to the Spokane Police Department to be interviewed. He told police he and a friend were involved in the gun fight. He referred to his friend as "L-Jay" and confirmed he was talking about LaShawn Jameison.

Also in the interview, Bates admitted to being part of the gun battle and said the fight originally broke out when a girl in the club got pushed. Bates admitted to firing six or seven shots. Officers confirmed he had a concealed weapons permit. He brought his gun in with him and turned it over to police.

The end result is EWU loses another DB, so they have yet another excuse to not play defense.
