Apparently for JMU it came down to Houston and Hauck.

Brent was our OC and the mastermind behind our triple O. I am hoping that Maurice Drayton (also considered for HC) will stay on as DC.

Both of these men were the nuts and bolts of this team- Houston just brought them together.

I wonder how much of the D's improvement this past season is attributable to Maurice. Houston is known as a D guru. I wonder if Maurice simply didn't do what he was told.

Given all the apparent bad blood among football alums and current players over this hire, maybe Brent should let Maurice go and bring in his own guy. There can be only one chief.

There are some trolls on The Citadel's football forum who registered right after the hire and are making those claims. I don't think they are credible.

BTW, at Thompson's presser this morning, he announced that Drayton will remain as the DC and all will assume the title of Asst. Head Coach.

All appears to be well on the banks of the Ashley.
