Another Rematch, but this time the venues have switched.


JSU won round one, and will take round 2

Chatty takes the rematch and takes down #1.

I guess it shouldn't be shocking that these two would meet in the playoffs because they've played each other a total of 39 times and this will be their 11th. meeting in past 12 years. Chattanooga owns the series 26-13, but the Gamecocks have won 8 of the last 10. The two meetings last year & this year were interesting because JSU barely won on the scoreboard even though they dominated yardage both times (gaining >400 and allowing <200 in each contest). If they dominate yardage again this time, I doubt it will come down to the wire. The bottom line is that—OVC playoff curse notwithstanding—Jacksonville State is the better team and they should win Saturday.

This game should not be close.

JSU by at least 14...and it could get uglier than that.

Jax State nearly pulled off yet another OVC choke job after letting UTC score 3 straight touchdowns, but the Gamecocks rallied to tie it & then won it in OT after Huesman threw a pick.

Yup, so now Jax and CSU play. It'll be CSUs final game. I don't see them winning. But.....the past few seasons have been wild so anything can happen

CSU might have a chance if their QBs can get healthy, but even then they're an underdog.

Croghan was looking ok today.

I know nothing about Jax State. Don't think we've ever even played a team from that conference.


I think our defense can play with anyone in FCS. I really do. But today our QB play was atrocious. Heard the 1st teamer Brown had a bad flu...and he and the 2nd team guy were knocked out the game.

Our 3rd stringer isn't beating Jax State on the road. We'll see who is healthy.
