Truly. Almost as heartbreaking as a 4 yard punt when you're up by 4 with a minute left.

Defeat snatched from the jaws of victory in Newark today. Dave Brock is just awesome.

Even though I really don't care any more, I did yell at the TV when they showed that jackass take off the headset and head across the field for the handshake. He has to go. Now.

I was there today; first game I've attended in two years. I was in the BCC with my son for Cub Scout activities about two hours before game time. It was fun and I had a smile on my face when I turned to look in my peripheral and none other than Eric Ziady had walked in, also smiling. I locked eyeballs with him and stopped smiling and just made a blank stare with a disgusted pursing of my lips. He dropped his smile too, paused for a couple of seconds to look around, and then quickly walked back out.

That was my personal victory for today.

Losing by 41 to this Griz team? Hilarious

To be fair, this is a different team with Gus back and playing like he's capable of. Not a great, but different.

I just mean, that's EWU's thing. Play us close. Even against our amaze-balls teams.

He looked really bad early but once he dialed it in I was happy to have him back.

How does Beau Baldwin let Tyrone Holmes (and his 13 sacks)
just line up against one tackle with no help for the entire game..?

I saw that Poor Tackle get help twice - that's 2 times - on something like 35 passing attempts
what a terrible decision by Baldwin - Holmes DOMINATED the game and f*cked everything up for Eastern

That's CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE in the coaching world

Baldwin should be interrogated after that game - and asked that question 5 different ways

To be fair, Holmes isn't Montana's only D-Line threat.

A bigger question mark was Baldwin's musical quarterbacks cavalcade in the first half. He was literally switching them every play at one point.

At least it got the universe a little closer to being back in alignment. Eastern Washington shouldn't be beating Montana. It's just not right. Nobody in the Big Sky should be beating Montana except for on rare occasions that don't really matter with respect to who wins the conference.

You've compiled quite a compilation of copied and pasted quotes from egriz here. ;)

As the saying goes...if you have 3 quarterbacks you have -2 quarterbacks...or something like that.

Actually, we moved the ball just fine. I find Beau's use of the three very intriguing and have zero problem with hit. He's a bit of a mad scientist and I like that.

The Holmes point is valid. The rush killed us and forced se of the errors.

Ummmm server? I'll have a plate "Vernon who?" crow that's been keeping in the freezer since earlier in the season.

Your team got some yards at times, but there was no consistency to it. 4/21 on third & fourth down combined, not to mention the 6 turnovers.

Did you even look at the stat line? Jones had a great day. Kupp and Bourne had solid days...by other teams standards. :coffee: Nice to see sophomore Terence Grady get more targets. He has size and could be good in years to come.

Shhh. Quiet. Fans of relevant teams are having a discussion here. :kisswink:

Oh yeah...couldn't let this little nugget go.

As already mentioned, you're right. I walked through their hall of fame room yesterday for the first time and it's fantastic! Montana has all of the advantages in the world from the perspectives of fan base, history, and facilities.

And yet... not only beating them on rare occasion, but having the stretch we've had (not just the National Championship) is what makes being an Eastern fan so fun. It's an over-achieiving program, par excellence.

I asked the bartender at Brooks and Browns last night if it's always this busy after a Griz win, and she said she's never seen it like that.

Dominating the mighty Eagles is a BIG deal these days. :king:

It's not just like another boring home playoff win over a Southland team.

Then she wasn't working there when App State came to town, and also lost... ;) BTW, most people with substance stay at Double Tree... :thumb:

Ummm yeah...I'm guessing a National Semi-final win against the 3-time defending champs might bring 'em out of the woodwork a little more.

1) That Holiday Inn is totally over-priced and has gone downhill. It IS walking distance from the bars, but we had a leaky bathroom sink that we asked to have repaired three times and they never got around to it. Got the rooms for 50% off ($216  ) but we'll be staying at the Double Tree next time.

2) You're confusing me for someone with substance. :ohno:
