Whatever they woke up fizzled against South Dakota. Freshman QB running the show now.SeattleGriz wrote:Good thing the Griz lit a fire under these complacent pussies. They are finally playing with a modicum of effort.
Lots of Griz fans banking on NDSU to win five, me includedGil Dobie wrote:Whatever they woke up fizzled against South Dakota. Freshman QB running the show now.SeattleGriz wrote:Good thing the Griz lit a fire under these complacent pussies. They are finally playing with a modicum of effort.
Like every game, there are questionable calls. Some are more noticeable due to timing. Refs are part of the game.JohnStOnge wrote:BOY that was a questionable interference call against YSU near the end of that last drive. Don't know if NDSU wouldn't have made the first down on the next play anyway. But BOY that was ticky tacky.
Also sad for YSU that a little earlier a Penguin receiver dropped a long pass.
Yes I agree. For years I've typed that random chance is a factor in the outcome and the officials are a big part of that. What they see and don't see. The decisions they happen to make. Something neither team has any control over and it does go each way with respect to the team it benefits a large number of times during each game. But I doubt that it ever "evens out." It's always going to end up being a net benefit...however large or small...for one team.Like every game, there are questionable calls. Some are more noticeable due to timing. YSU did a great job stopping the run and the first 3 quarters, NDSU did not do a great job stopping the run. Exciting game to watch until Bo went nuts.Gil Dobie wrote:King Frazier goes up against his former coach at Nebraska.
If YSU can't stop the run, it will be 30 points. If they stop the run, it will be close. Easton Stick has a good crop of receivers, but YSU has a good pass defense.
