Georgia States website says so in their F.A.Q. section
At what level will Georgia State football compete?
Georgia State will compete at the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS, formerly known as NCAA Division I-AA). The Panthers will begin playing in the Colonial Athletic Association, the top FCS conference in the nation, in 2012.

That settles it there for me, SoCon... Big Sky... MVC... SWAC.... you just don't stack up

Obviously subjective, but how can you really argue it?

As far as the over all level of the conference I would have to put the CAA at the top the SoCon second and the MVFC and Big Sky as a toss up for 3rd. I just don't think there is a very big difference in the overall difference between 1st and 2nd and 2nd and 3rd. I also think that the top 2 or 3 teams out of each conference are very close across the conferences in most years. The CAA is as big and deep as wr82's ass so they have a bit of an advantage with more gooder teams.

One-liner of the year nominee right here.
