Keeler's had enough of playing top D-IIs

A quote on the Texas A&M Commerce game from KC Keeler from yesterday's Lake Charles American Press:
We haven't had to play into the second half the last four weeks, so it was nice to see us challenged and how our kids would respond. But we will not play people like that again. It just does not make sense.
He's kind of right because of that brain dead "they're Division II so you should blow them out" thing. But it's a shame. Games like that where a top D-II is playing a FCS are, to me, really interesting. And it's cool as heck when they mop the floor with the FCS like Colorado State Pueblo did with Sam Houston State last year (unless the FCS is McNeese State). Disappointed Keeler is taking that stance.

Funny. His Delaware teams played West Chester every year while he was there.

Do you guys not pay attention? Keeler was very vocal about hating the West Chester game. At the time, our curb stompings of West Chester did not count as a victory to the playoff committee (rule since changed), so a 7-4 season in a bloodbath of a CAA from 2003-2010 would mean no playoffs.

Keeler has been consistent on this issue for over a decade.

Hey, remember, in a lot of those years when UD was playing West Chester, Vegas had the line on the West Chester/Towson game as the Golden Rams giving 5. Just saying.
