Definitely the MVFC tilt. Although the game in Cheney might be more fun to watch.

How can you guys not pick Sam Houston State at McNeese State when there is a chance that order will be restored to the universe in that McNeese State would clinch the Southland automatic bid with the win? Historically, it's just not right that schools like Sam Houston State and Southeastern Louisiana have been getting that bid. It's like if Vanderbilt and Kentucky were to suddenly start winning the SEC. It's just not right.

McNeese State is supposed to win the Southland.

Because between the two schools, neither has played even one single FCS opponent that's currently ranked.

SHSU V McNeese.

For the Southland title. McNeese wins they likely finish 10-0...

Geeze I hope not. There was a time when they NEVER did that. But it's true that starting with 2003 they picked the first round of the playoffs to completely stink it up. Not only losing. Outright completely AWFUL performances. They haven't even played a close game in the playoffs since 2002.

But one thing at a time. Get there first. It appears that they may have one thing that used to be their hallmark when they used to never lose in the first round. That's a dominant defense. They used to always have that and I'd say they haven't since 2002. And really even by 2002 they were starting to slip in that area a little. This year they've got a pair of really stud defensive tackles that I think completely change the game on defense. They affect everything, They've got that dominating pressure in the middle of the defensive line and it's a wonderful thing to see when you're pulling for a team.

It'll be interesting to see if those tackles can affect Sam Houston State's running game. Hope so. I do think it's going to be the best set of defensive tackles Sam Houston State has seen all year including the guys playing for Texas Tech. Of course that might not be saying that much since Texas Tech is ranked 126th in FBS total defense (573 yards per game), 124th in FBS rushing defense (271 yards per game), and 122nd in FBS scoring defense (43.4 points per game). Given that there are 127 FBS teams there aren't too many FBS teams that have been worse on defense than Texas Tech has been.

Being a Delaware fan you MUST recall that they are 2-0 against the Blue Hens in the playoffs. Of course that was back in the day. 1995 and 1997.

I was at the 1993 first round game between W&M and McNeese. Great atmosphere. I had a good time despite the six-point loss.

We have no shot this week. Congrats on the SLC championship and the restoration of order. ;)

Sam Houston State is the favorite. But you should still be pulling for them to lose in the name of restoration of the proper order.
