Well, Jordan West in the last two games has thrown for 901 yards, 9 TD's, a 70% completion percentage and just 1 pick so I'm not really feeling the Vernon screwed EWU at this point. :D

To be fair, he's been trying to play with a broken hand since Game 1.

Guess the old Chip Kelly magic is gone from Oregon as well as Philly. :ohno:

I must have missed something. The only issue I've seen so far is that Adams is having a hard time scoring more points than the Ducks' defense is giving up. Whether that is truly on Adams or the Ducks coaching staff, primarily the defensive coaches, remains to be seen.

Helfrich and Frost didn't develop talent to replace Mariotta and so far either can't coach up a kid who shredded Pac-12 offenses under a different system or failed to recognize that kid couldn't succeed in their own system.

How does Vernon Adams look bad in any of this? He doesn't play defense and people can't tlak enough about how well the kid's played, injury and all.

Agreed he is not a defender Oregon's defense has always been its achilles heal even when Kelly ran the show.

He doesn't play defense, but who's not talking enough about how well he's played? :?

Season stats:

PASSING GP Effic Cmp-Att-Int Pct Yards TD Long Avg/G
Adams Jr., V. 3 142.3 43-71-2 60.6 581 4 46 193.7

Head to head versus Jordan West and Reilly Hennessey and EWU's defense:

PASSING Cmp-Att-Int Yds TD Long Sack
Jordan West 23-34-1 293 3 73 1
R. Hennessey 14-21-1 145 2 37 0
Totals... 37-55-2 438 5 73 1

PASSING Cmp-Att-Int Yds TD Long Sack
Adams Jr., V. 19-25-0 246 2 46 1
Totals... 19-25-0 246 2 46 1

How much he's missed in Cheney at this point:

PASSING
NO. NAME YR POS GP COMP ATT PCT YDS Y/G Y/A TD INT LG
5 Jordan West Jr QB 4 97 134 72.4% 1543 385.8 11.5 15 3 98
12 Reilly Hennessey Fr QB 2 27 39 69.2% 322 161.0 8.3 3 1 42
Totals 4 124 173 71.7% 1865 466.3 10.8 18 4 98

And yes, I realize he didn't need to throw it much against us.

All of a sudden Michigan's one loss by 24-17 at Utah in Harbaugh's first game doesn't look all that bad.

The Dan Patrick radio show woke me up this AM and they were discussing Oregon and VA. Said something like He's not in 1-AA anymore. No mention of injured hand. Now I hope VA recovers and lights up the PAC 12 the rest of the year.

Me too. Lots of derogatory discussion about the kid lately with very little context. It's just "oh, see, we told you so." Pretty easy to do when the kid's down and battling through an injury.

I hope he shreds the rest of the Pac-12 if he's given the opportunity to do so. I could care less if Oregon wins or loses any of those games..I'd just like to see him do well.

I agree he is playing great inspite of his injury that the media refuses to admit.

Dan Patrick is no different than anyone else who supports 1-A programs he is a obvious snob.If Adams was a 5 star candidate his injury would have been mentioned.

bump - always a good thread to revisit. I bet Vernon Adams is just crying himself to sleep in Eugene these days.
