On 11-24-14, Wardell Turner an former Towson State football player died in action in Afganistan.
Saturday tickets will be on sale for $11.24. Many people including Chris Kyle's widow will be there.
The team will be sporting these helmets too(unsure if uniforms will be different)

No, I really don't like teams fucking with their school colors. The notion that a stars and bars logo is somehow showing appreciation to anyone is a crock of shit. It's nothing but PR that really won't do anything, so why do it?

I agree that the stars and stripes thing is getting overcooked, although honoring a fallen former football player is a much better reason than most schools have.

I'd rather have a flag helmet logo as a 1 time thing or 1 game a season at most instead of the wearing black unis when black isn't one of your school colors gimmick that has swept the country in the last decade (including JMU). Its not a question of who's done it anymore. Its a question of who hasn't..

While I agree with the wearing black even when it's not one of your colors, that trend seems to have run it's course. As does the mono color BS. The new thing seems to be wearing grey. This ain't baseball!
