The up and coming Big South has done extremely well in 2013 and 2014 vs the SoCon...winning most of the matchups. This year...several more matchups. With App and GSU gone...and Coastal leaving...I've argued the leagues should merge.

Anyway...week 1 Coastal beat Furman in a close one, Kennesaw St hammered East Tennessee. Big South starts off 2-0.

Week 2....no matchups. But several great matchups vs other leagues. CSU vs Troy. Liberty vs WVU. Coastal vs SC State. GWU vs Elon. PC vs Charlotte for a few

Week 3 only 1 SoCon vs BSC. CSU will host East Tennessee State on Thursday night.

Technically etsu doesn't count. But it is your thread

Are they not SoCon yet? If not my bad. I know they used to be. Played against them twice! The old MiniDome was cool.

Sorry, there is no BCS vs. SoCon in week 3.

ETSU is playing as an FCS independent this year. Thank goodness !!!!!!

Yep and the turf was an accident waiting to happen along with holding ones breath on the deep end zone pass hoping a player didn't get tackled by the wall.

Ah...my bad...thought they were SoCon this year. Heard they're building a nice outdoor stadium for ETSU.

I am guessing they were told to boot the mini dome for football if they wanted in the conference.

Traded The Stink for The Stink Dome I always though of it like the world's biggest Quonset hut.

The SonCon is well-balanced by most any metric. The Big South is a mess. Don't take it personally.

Believe the BSC will go 0-3 this week in these games. CSU at Citadel will be the most competitive for sure.

I say 1-2. I think CSU gets the better of The Citadel but Wofford and UTC defend the SoCon honor
