Anybody know any news on the Pirates? All I can find is their starting QB is out for the season as of last week.

They graduated a pretty good QB in Shane Carden. So if they lost their starter, they are in trouble. They also graduated a pretty good WR. You are catching them at the right time.

TU needs to bounce back from their 4-8/2-6 from last year, including their season ending loss to URI, who came into that game 0-11.

EZU is no slouch and, even worse, they tend to suck-up non-qualifiers from the ACC and SEC.

The QB situation is a mess, but I suspect they'll simply pound the ball at you until it settles-out. They've got a stable full of skilled players and a lot of hulking beef up front.

You might catch a break on the weather. It's been miserably hot and nasty this week but a front is supposed to come through Friday. Otherwise, Hell has nothing over Greenville in the late Summer.

Be advised --- their fans are of the nasty-sort, too. All 45- to 50k of them.

I'd love to see the Tigers drop them like a bad habit, but I doubt it's going to happen.
