Drama in Charleston : FBI arrives at Citadel practice.

It's been a rough off season in the Charleston area with several high profile tragedies.
Well....more drama today. The FBI was notified and arrived at The Citadel football practice. A strange substance was found and raised terrorism suspicions. Agents arrived and we're led to an unknown white slimy/powderish substance someone put on the field the players use.
Agents told everyone not to worry. It's just the goal line paint, and they felt comfortable that Citadel wouldn't get close to it much all year.
Whew! That was a close one.
Boys....season is here. Let's get this sh** started!!

Will your stadium be ready by then?
I'm sorry, that was a stupid question. I'll rephrase in serial form:
*Will the surface on the track that surrounds the field be adequately non-sticky so as to finally allow players access to the new field turf by then?
* Also, will said track surface hold up to the wear of a single visit from the Rubbermaid pirate ship/lawn tractor wagon?
* Also, BATHROOMS!

This. That pirate ship is embarrassing.
How about you have a visitors side with more than just seats.

There are going to be permanent visitor bathrooms. Our track surface was great before. CSU has a solid track history and the surface was very good. The new one will be too.
The stadium? Yes. It's the worst one in the Big South. Easily the worst. It's not even in the same discussion as Coastal or Liberty. It's dwarfed in all ways by the Citadel stadium. Judging on facilities....there's no way CSU should ever beat those teams...ever.
I have great respect for Coastal and Liberty. Without question the kings of the Big South....and I can only hope we are fortunate enough to pull an upset and maybe compete for the BSC.
But this is about the Citadel and their stuck up, disrespectful nasty fans. They all walk around town acting like their team should be held in the same esteem as App State or Coastal or Wofford. They talk trash about everyone else's stadium....and they can't even fill theirs to 80% capacity most games....lucky of they fill it 60%. Some of them....not all....are in their 30s-50s and still talk to fellow citizens as if they're trying to haze a freshman. Probably why they say "the ring" guarantees you a job (in Charleston )....because they can only work for or with each other.
Yes...our place sucks. We overachive. Citadel? Underachieve. Filthy mutts. Their tears killed what little grass we had on our sand field and forced us to dig it up and lay turf.

Nah not too bad. How is it having our foot between yours?
Just don't drop football when we make it 3 in a row this year. You guys can always drop to D2, beat North Greenville and be the best D2 team in the state. Oh wait...Newberry. Nevermind.

Ha. Yall are actually acknowledging female cadets now? Wow. New Era at El Cid. Next thing you know you guys will even treat black folks with respect, and maybe even stop harboring and covering for perverts.
How bout we make a friendly bet...just for bragging rights.
Which number will be larger : Points scored by CSU vs Citadel, or number of rebel flags openly flying at the tailgate? Our offense is gonna be pretty darn good....but don't know if we're up for that challenge.

Where is this game at? CSU or Citadel? I go to most Citadel home games and rarely do I see a rebel flag flying.

It's at Citadel. There's usually a few in the large parking lot tail gate area.
But with everything that's gone on this year in SC...including the Citadels on stars and bars being removed from their chapel...I suspect it's gonna fly quite a bit there this year. They're very proud of their claim that they started the "War of Northern Aggression". And seeing as CSU is about 15 miles Northwest of them......us Yankees won't be welcomed haha.
