Watching the NFL channel and word is coming in that Hall of Famer Frank Gifford has passed away today at 84 years old. What a legend he was. RIP

I think that means that the entirety of the original MNF trio is now gone.

How sad. The move to ESPN killed that game, IMO. But it was probably on its way out for quite a while before that because ABC couldn't replicate what they had with Gifford, Meredith, and Cosell....

Low ratings killed MNF something had to be done.Last game on ABC MNF Jets vs Pats.

The ratings were low because they couldn't replicate Gifford, Meredith, and Cosell.

Thursday night football and Friday, Saturday football killed MNF. Also, more than 5 channels.
