This will be a "difficult" one to chose. Let's be honest, the MVFC has been the tits for a few years with several teams.
In the words of SuperHornet: The team that can't pronounce, "bison".

tie.
NDSU and ISUr don't play each other.

This is one where I hope to be wrong. It's someone else's turn to win here, but I just can't see anyone taking it from NDSU. ISUr and UNI probably have the best shots, but even those will likely fall short....

UNI has a better shot than SDSU

NDSU has to be the favorite until someone knocks them off of the top of the hill. ISUr has the best shot with UNI next in line.

UNI think this new offense is going to be much better then we have seen. Fargo and Normal are going to be great games.

Nothing great about Normal...unless you like to hand out participation trophies.

So ok NDSU-ILSU-UNI-SDSU. But I didn't pull that out of my arse saying SDSU 3rd. I was looking at for a lot of the top teams in a # of conferences.:
-last year's records
-the 2 deep game notes, usually from the last game of the season, or the beginning of the season if I came across that 1st.
-this year's schedules
For most conferences outside the CAA just looked at the top 1-3 teams from last season. For the MVFC looked at the top 7 from last season. Pretty cut and dry NDSU & ISU would be the pre season #1 & #2.
For both UNI (6-2) and SDSU (5-3) I saw listed a Sr QB starting. I counted 10 non senior starters for UNI and 17 for SDSU, most of the 7 MVFC teams I looked at. I see they lost their AA RB also.
I know UNI beat NDSU at home and SDSU took NDSU to the wire in the playoffs Fargo last season.
On the schedule I see UNI has back to back @ ILSU and @ NDSU (who did UNI piss off?). I see SDSU gets both NDSU and ILSU at home.
To me it looks like Larry Bird U and YSU might be next. I realize there's people lose players in the offseason for various reasons on 1 hand, get guys back from injury on the other. Plus there's transfers, coaching changes, etc. So I'll defer to you guys on the MVFC.

Strong post. Agree, but I have Uni forth or fifth. Losing that RB is gonna kill em. And that schedule ...

Blue hens don't care. They've all but given up on their program.

Which is why the little cocksucker lashes out at programs that still have some sort of relevancy.

Perhaps a move up will regain some of that relevancy?

The UNI offense displayed in the spring game was 50x more dynamic than anything I have seen since Terry Allen left as HC. If only this change was made last year...
The schedule does them no favors this year.

Did you remember who we had calling plays the last 9 years? It can't be worse.

Um....
Verduzco thought it was a good idea to let DJ touch the ball 15 times per game through the first 7 games of the year....he then got his ass handed too him by Farley (who normally can't name 2 offensive plays), lost a good share of his play calling power to a guy who gave it to him 30 times per game.
Verduzco was the biggest push behind thinking Carnes was the QB to use at UNI the last two years.
UNI was called for 2 or 3 DOG penalties per game and burned at least 2 or 3 TO a game to avoid more. We had DOG penalties coming off of a damn kick off for goodness sake.
You think it can't be worse but it can. He was handed well over a dozen, if not two, All Conference, All American and NFL caliber players since 2008 and failed to produce any meaningful identity or production other than players making plays because they were than damn talented....like DJ.
Maybe he works out for you. Remember, UNI fans were screaming for TA to stay in CF after that senior day game to end MSUs season and run the offense rather than let Verduzco continue for the playoffs.
He may have officially resigned to go to MSU but was told he was free to leave because a new OC was being brought in and he would face a large demotion, if retained at all by the new oc.

Yet South Dakota received 12 votes in the FCS coaches poll.
