Is it too early for talking trash on Citadel? Charleston Southern will be City Champs for 3rd year in a row. Bank on it. CSU ranked 24th preseason. 4-5 All BSC returners plus loaded at QB.

Ok well...its not as fun this year. We beat them on their field. Then...brought them to our little field with bleachers...which they made fun of....and beat em there too.

Despite it being one of my favorite pastimes, I'm not ripping into CSU this year. They beat us on our field last year so, unless they do something really North Korean -- as is their wont -- I'm leaving the Bucs alone for the time being. That is, until November 15th, also known as the day after we scorch the gray sandy earth of Ladson, SC. Can't come fast enough.

Haha if we do something really "North Korean"!? That was a pretty good one. We were fortunate to beat you guys. Hope we can pull it off again. I have huge respect for LU and Coastal. Clearly the two best programs in our conference.

You wont get to play on our gray sandy field ever again. We installed turf. It looks pretty good. We didnt want it. But the field suffered severe flooding last year and the grass never recovered. Not from a storm. But from the tears of Citadel fans when we spanked that ass on our gray sandy field inside our tinker toy "stadium" haha.

We're gonna do.it again at Citadels massive half empty stadium September 26th.

It's hard to imagine Buccaneer Field with turf. That's the one true home advantage that CSU had. That and the six kids in the "spirit section" singing "I'm So Glad I Go to CSU" like they were at some kind of church camp.

The turf surprised me too. Its Charleston. It rains a lot and wet turf isnt good. And its hotter than hell.

Yes. But they are...
North Greenville (we are something like 13-1 vs them)
Troy (far better than us and an FBS team)
East Tennessee State (we are like 0-7 vs them)

So really...Citadel is the first game that we view as an equalish opponent. Its dumb ti talk trash to a D2 team or to programs that are better than we are.

That leaves you guys.

Troy might be winnable. They've been stuffing their roster with Jucos and aren't overly talented for a G5 team, and they've got a first-year coach with a new system. If you can give Vandy all they want you might can handle Troy.

Its funny seeing you say that....because only a year or two ago...you Citadel guys couldnt resist jumping in with comments on anything CSU related...of course of a negative tone too.

Then we beat you. Again. And you all keep mocking CSU. You keep acting like its 1992 when Citadel was the best FCS team in the state. Sorry. Times changed. Wofford moved up...and have kicked your asses all over the field. Coastal Carolina? HA! They shouldnt waste their time again with The Citadel....its a mismatch. Charleston Southern? Well...you guys arent even the best college team in Charleston County anymore.

Oh...and so is 1861. You can take the Confederate flags on campus down any day now. But....if you just cant let it go...CSU technically is North of Citadels campus. We can stripe up the grass in Fort Sumter and kick yalls asses there too.
