Liberty University has dismissed two starters from the football program due to a violation of team rules.

Coach Turner Gill announced Wednesday the removal of fullback Nicky Fualaau and safety Gary Sampson.

Fualaau, from Federal Way, Washington, played in 32 games over three seasons, making 18 starts. During Liberty's 9-5 season last year, he totaled 11 carries for 31 yards and four receptions for 31 yards. His late-game touchdown at James Madison helped the Flames to their program's first-ever NCAA playoff victory.

Sampson, from Miami, played in 26 games over two seasons, with all of his 13 starts last year. He posted 51 tackles with two interceptions last season.

It's accredited by a body that is considered valid enough to have also accredited Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, Rice University, and the University of Virginia. Many others as well. I realize there's a broad range of institutions accredited by the same body (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges). In fairness and "creationism" classes aside-

Liberty does have some reputable schools- their nursing school is supposed to be quite good

I also am fairly sure that mathematics are not subject to any strange pronouncements in the old testament, so 2 + 2 likely still equals 4 there

Liberty also has quality aeronautics, law, and osteopathic medicine programs, among others. Industry is practically BEGGING Liberty to send people their way.

I'm shocked Liberty would offer medical degrees. Thats playing God and not just waiting for some magic floating dead guy to do the healing.

Is the #1 objective of the aeronautics program to build a machine to find God hiding behind a cloud?

Sorry, SH. I was confusing Liberty with Pat Robertson's Regents U. law school. Hopefully Liberty is much better at seeking the truth and less churchy.

Despite their lack of academic credentials, their debate team appears to be one of the highest ranked in the nation. In reality Liberty University notch up points by debating small colleges where they can win

Liberty accumulates more points than anyone else because they send lots and lots of teams to lots and lots of tournaments, especially in novice and junior varsity competition. But most of the good debate programs don’t even have novice or junior varsity teams, everyone just competes in varsity.
