Sucks that we have a longer road trip, but great to play a better opponent.

I believe they were - 7 hour drive. Plus, we recruit in San Diego, and have alumni/parents that would go to the game because it is San Diego.

Did this HAVE to be a road game for NAU? Could they have talked SFA into coming to the Skydome?

Replace a road game with a road game.

SFA had a home game scheduled.
SFA could have said "nope" and left NAU to continue to search
SFA had no reason to give up a home date for a road date in a situation where:
SFA had all the power

I'm happy NAU found another game. The tricky part has always been finding non-conference teams willing to make the return trip to Flagstaff....doesn't happen very often.

I was considering a weekend trip to San Diego.

I'm not considering a weekend trip to Nacogdoches.
