Chattanooga at New Hampshire: This will be an interesting game but we can expect Chatty to go home. Sorry, but I don't see them getting past UNH.

Coastal Carolina at North Dakota State: Again, this won't be much of a game. Trust me, I would love for CCU to pull away with a win. But NDSU is..well NDSU. We don't really stand a chance. The best I hope for is that we put more than 14 on the board against them. I don't know. If it wasn't for that TD with :54 remaining, NDSU would be out. I'm surprised it was that close.

Sam Houston State at Villanova: GOTW here.

Illinois State at Eastern Washington: While it isn't a lock, I think EWU has the advantage here. Speed, strength, Adams.

So, i'm wondering here: What do you all think about Coastal Carolina's win over UR? Still another patsy team that your mom and her quilting circle could beat? Or does help validate the ranking, seeding and prove that Coastal Carolina has what it takes?

You'll still get waxed by NDSU. No shame in that, it happens to most teams.

Ill State @ EWU is the game of the week. Should be a semi-final game.

Probably going to be a lot of points scored by both teams.

Last possession wins?

My mom's quilting group has a couple two gappers on the DL and little old bitty dual threat at QB that would give the Spiders all they could handle.

Depends on what you're justifying. You could make a case that even with a loss this week, they are the 6th best team (SN Poll). Tough draw having to go to Fargo though. I've said all year, I think CCU is a top 10 team, but not a top 5 team.

I chose the Red Birds on the red turf. I'm thinking 12-14 turnovers as both teams will be camouflaged. 8-)

I've said the same thing, maybe not Top 5, but for sure top 10. NDSU is a difficult team to built and while our defense had it's best game this past weekend, I don't think we can stop the NDSU offense.

NDSU isn't as good as past teams...but still good

Hope the team is as not as concerned as their fans and maybe you'll sneak up on them

I picked the UNH game. Is the SoCon really dead, and can UNH finally get a home semifinal game after all these years? Plus it's on Friday night and I can watch it from the warmth of my house. :thumb:

I think the SoCon is in hibernation.

I'll State doesn't have the firepower to hang with EWU.

I can't believe more people didn't vote for Coastal Carolina at North Dakota State. You're talking about a chance for the three time national champ being knocked off. To me, if you're just a neutral fan wanting to see the most intriguing game among the quarterfinals that's obviously the one.

I mean, if Eastern Washington beats Illinois State, is that a big deal? Or visa versa. If Illinois State beats Eastern Washington it's kind of like: So what? I mean, it'd great for Illinois State fans but otherwise it's no big deal.

They're from what is, this year, a substantially superior conference. It's kind of like the second place team in the SEC playing the Mountain West champ.

Mind you, we all can recall a time when the Mountain West champ put it on the second place team from the SEC in a bowl game (Utah/Alabama). But that's what it's like. You just have to wait to see what happens because you've got a team that's from a much tougher week in/week out background of competition.
