Southern lost but they did a lot better than I thought they would.

I think Alcorn State had a team that actually would have had a shot to be competitive in the FCS playoffs if the SWAC did that sort of thing.

I just watch the replay Congrats! to Alcorn they were the better team

I agree John they would have been very competitive in the FCS playoffs probably pulled a upset.They have a balanced offense and a aggressive defense.The only ppl ,missing from this team were Devin Fleming and Stacy Garner I felt they could have been impact players on , their defense at their positions, of DB&OLB.

They kept Mike Jones in check in that game using double teams on him neutralizing his game breaking speed on the deep ball with safety help over the top.Also well timed blitzes on a frosh QB.
