What about San Diego's secondary makes you feel they're better than Montana's?

They're a 4-2-5 team that relies heavily on their secondary to do most everything. They also have a solid efficiency D (yes, I know, the competition sucks) despite no pass rush.

There isnt a unit on USDs program that is anywhere near Montanas third string

I hope they have a fun time in our area....not including the hours of game time.

Montana up 31-0 in the second quarter.

San Diego hardly even belonged on the field today.

Not a bad warm up for the rematch in Cheney. 8-)

San Diego obviously isn't a playoff caliber team, but I don't think the Griz would've beaten them like this a month ago.

I agree, Griz probably only win by 28 instead of 38 a month ago...so this is what it looks like if the BSC had these patsies in the first round like the CAA does.

Griz could've won by a lot more today, too. San Diego didn't even get their second first down until the third-string defense was in, I believe.

San Diego had less than 30 total yards at halftime when the first string defense stopped playing and we began to rotate our 2s and 3s.

I hope that nobody is seriously trying to take anything quantifiable away from this game. I don't necessarily have a problem with the draw, but this is a game that never should have been.

What exactly do you mean by "never should have been"? They had to play somebody, didn't they?

There are about six USD's in the East bracket. :coffee: :coffee:

What I mean by this is that the Pioneer has no business playing in the FCS, let alone being in the FCS playoffs.

Not sure why the playoffs needed to be expanded in the first place...after the first round's been played it's generally the same 16 there that would have been in anyway.

I won't argue that most of these games aren't gimmees, because they generally are...but don't the Patriot, NEC, and MEAC all offer scholarships? If so, then there aren't 6 San Diego's in the other side of the bracket.

Like I said, I probably wouldn't take much away from this game. Central Washington put up more of a fight.
