Western Carolina coach Mark Speir defends FCS teams

"I'm just proud of FCS football," Speir said. "I'm proud of our football team, I hope America doesn't listen to a guy who sits behind a mike that hasn't ever done it, with that silver spoon in his mouth, he never had probably a bloody nose or a callous like some of these guys."

Speir coached at Western Carolina, Presbyterian, Elon and Appalachian State before becoming HC at WCU. The Catamounts were 7-5 this year with losses at FBS South Florida (31-36) and Alabama (14-48).

In honor of Herbstreit's attitude, I haven't watched one moment of THEEEEEE Ohio State in years.

I predict Herbstreit's precious Power conferences get their wish, break away from the rest of the plebeians that make up college football and proceed to beat the hell out of each other while finishing 5-5 each season. No more body bag games to pad their records anymore.
