Save for an overthrown TD on our last drive when we had to settle for 3 to make the score 21-20, the Bucs damn near pulled out a victory. If you get a chance to watch the replay do it.

Its the old saying, CSU outplayed 'em, and literally beat them in EVERY statistic except score.
My key swing points of the game:
- Vandy hitting that 2 point conversion when CSU misaligned. Huge 1 point swing obviously
- CSU overthrowing that TD
- The sideline penalty on CSU when the ref hit the coach in the box on that long run, they ended up with 3 points instead of being in the red zone. That was a big momentum changer
- The scholarships; The Vandy line started wearing down CSU's in the 4th. They got a little more pressure on the QB, and protected theirs a little more. Depth was a little bit of a difference.
In a way, I kinda wish Vandy had beat us by 20 or more points, because CSU really truly should've won that game, and I hope they don't dwell on it long and let it affect their preparation for PC, who is good enough to beat CSU this year.

...nice job CSU, too bad you couldn't quite pull it off.

CSU has everyone's attention in the Big South. Incidentally the Big South is above the SoCon in most of the ratings coming out today. That should be no surprise to anyone paying attention the past two years.

Yes, right now the Big South is better pound-for-pound than the SoCon, but the SoCon will regroup eventually.
CSU has caught a lot of people's attention. 10 years ago that program fully funded to 65 scholarships up from the 35 they used to give. CSU was notorious for being very competitive with some good teams...but wearing down due to depth as the games went into the 4th or OT, and injuries piled up as the season wore on. Now, its an even playing field and they have the depth to keep up.
Coastal and Liberty are still the class of the Big South, and we lost to GWU last year, so we have our work cut out for us. Hopefully we can give those guys a run and maybe even win this thing (again
