Interesting you chose not to go with Furman for worst performance...the Paladins got only 61 yards rushing the whole game, and lost to an inferior MEAC team that has yet to prove themselves (destroyed by Clemson, beat bad by Coastal Carolina). That'd be my pick.

As for VMI, I can't say it was an incredibly surprising result. Our defense was bad coming in, and with that awful 8-hour road trip to Homewood AL, you kinda had to expect they'd put up big points.

The score was 49-0 Samford at halftime. How many of your yards and points were scored after Samford brought in the backups? Looks like Samford's backup QB was playing for the start of the second half.

SC State was bad, but you guys got a true a**-kicking.

True, but how can we call it surprising? Certainly disappointing, and I don't think anyone expected Samford would put up 63 but....honestly, did anyone expect Furman to not only lose to SC State but get dominated by them on the defensive side of the ball?

I wasn't surprised. Furman lost their QB. That's a massive blow for any team. And Furman lost to the worst team in the Big South last week. (BTW, I think Big South is kicking SoCon a** again this year, 4-1 so far with GWU @ Citadel on deck)

Samford isn't supposed to be as good as last year so yes, this type of massacre was pretty surprising.

And the Furman loss didn't surprise me at all. They've had no offense at all since Hannon went down.
