Portland St. 21-48 WazzuHard to judge the Cougs: their D was awful in week 1, while their O sucked last week

Davis 6-41 Colorado St.Looks like Gabe Manzanares will be absent again…

Weber 24-28 Sac State (NC) — Interesting matchup, but I don't think the Wildcats have enough offense

Chadron 24-42 Idaho St.The Bengals of the last few seasons might lose here, but this year should be better

SoDak St. 31-14 Suutah — The Jackrabbits put up 502 yards on Cal Poly without their starting quarterback

NM Highlands 10-58 NAU'Jacks should have no trouble with a weak DII

SoDak 17-31 MontanaJoe Glenn may be Johnny-on-the-Spot, but his Bucks ain't gonna Powder this River ;)

Carcansas 34-31 Montana St. — Prukop put up monster numbers last week, but BHSU's defense is non-existent

Houston Unitarian 6-42 NoCoBears roll to their first DI win since 2012

NoDak 9-31 Missouri St.MSU's redzone D has been good while UND's redzone O is iffy

Not to sound like a buffoon, but what does (NC) stand for next to the Weber/Sac game?

Were you thinking the game had a NC-17 rating?

Worth noting that the Yotes have lost 22 of their last 24 road games.

Non-conference.

Ah ha thank you

As for my picks

Portland State- 31
Washington State- 40

Washington State is not as good as Oregon State

UC Davis- 10
Colorado State- 35

The Rams are too powerful for Davis

Weber State- 24
Sacramento State- 20

Weber State's defense allowed 17 offensive points to the #1 ranked North Dakota State Bison, if they play like they did against the Bison, they can and will beat Sac.

Chadron State- 9
Idaho State 38

Idaho State is going in the right direction, they played very well in thier losses to Utah and Utah State, they will roll Chadron Saturday.

South Dakota State- 31
Southern Utah- 19

Southern Utah seems to play really good defense, but they have yet to show they can really score.

N.Mexico Highlands- 3
Northern Arizona- 45

This will be a welcoming home opener for the Lumberjacks

South Dakota- 17
Montana- 41

The game is in Wash Griz where the Griz usually roll.

Central Arkansas- 28
Montana State- 27

Central Arkansas may have too much speed for the Bobcats

Houston Baptist- 10
Northern Colorado- 42

We have only had one look at the Bears this year and it was a very close chance at UNLV. Are the Bears that good or is UNLV just that bad?

North Dakota- 10
Missouri St- 31

Could be closer, but Im thinking with the Bears being at home and having a better Defense they get the edge.

24-2 for the year but the slate is getting tougher. Many games this week involve the Big Sky against the FCS. At this point, could be a tossup on those.

Chadron State at ISU---Bengals got a great tune up playing up to FBS the first two weeks. This should be a welcome break but Montana State thought the same thing a few years back...ISU 31, Chadron State 17.

South Dakota at UM---South Dakota is used to hostile places, already playing at Oregon early on. The Grizzlies play at their own level after going up and going down...UM 45, South Dakota 10.

Central Arkansas at MSU---The Bobcats looked alright against Arkansas State, then tore apart Black Hills State last week. Did it prepare them enough for this strong FCS tilt...MSU 27, Central Arkansas 20.

UND at Missouri State---North Dakota played just well enough last week at home to eke out a win against Robert Morris. Can they get the same type of luck this weekend?...Missouri State 31, UND 7.

New Mexico Highlands at NAU---The Lumberjacks took one on the chin in the opener at San Diego State, then edged out a win at Abilene Christian. This DII team is not on any of those levels...NAU 30, New Mexico Highlands 7.

Houston Baptist at UNC---Really, how good are these Bears? They fell just short of a big upset last weekend at FBS UNLV, but this is the one they are suppose to win...UNC 24, Houston Baptist 10.

PSU at Washington State---The Vikings hope for an upset here is buoyed by a great showing at Oregon State earlier. Problem is Washington State throws the ball...Washington State 35, PSU 17.

South Dakota State at SUU---After staying close to both FBS Nevada and FCS Southeastern Lousiana, the Thunderbirds continue their murderous march through the non-conference...South Dakota State 28, SUU 25.

UCD at Colorado State---The good news here for the Aggies is that Colorado State is not Stanford. The bad news is they are not Fort Lewis either...Colorado State 48, UCD 10.

WSU at SAC---The Wildcats and the Hornets kick off a round of non-conference conference games and both are coming off impressive FCS contests, the Hornets early on with Incarnate Word and the Wildcats against North Dakota State...SAC 27, WSU 10.

That was more because one of my former teammates was a Highlands HC, the one who broke their epic losing streak a few years back. After that, he was the special teams coordinator for the Raiders for several years before taking the same position with the Rams....
